CHRIS FRANCIS: SHOES

 Artist/shoe maker Chris Francis debuts his creations at the Craft & Folk Art Museum in Los Angeles. This film explores Chris’ creative process as well revealing himself at the crossroads between being seen as a artist or shoe designer as he gains more recognition.

Virginia Lee Hunter is an award winning photo-journalist whose transition to filmmaking began with her first documentary CARNY in (2008), a collaboration with Canadian filmmaker Alison Murray. Carny was inspired by Hunter’s photo book, CARNY: Americana on the Midway.
Since CARNY, Hunter has worked on a number of documentaries, Fambul Tok, The Source, and Folk. 
Tumbling from the Mountain of Truth; the art of Anselm Spring is Hunter’s first solo film and Chris Francis:Shoes is her second. Virginia finds interest in exploring artists and their creative process'.
