WELCOME TO LEITH

In 2012 notorious white supremacist Craig Cobb moved to Leith, ND (population 24) and quietly plotted to turn the tiny town into a neo-Nazi stronghold by purchasing land and inviting other white supremacists to help him gain an electoral majority. After residents discover his identity his threatening behavior escalates and the town’s residents desperately seek ways to expel their unwanted neighbor.

Michael Beach Nichols a Brooklyn-based documentary filmmaker. His 2013 feature documentary Flex Is Kings opened the Viewpoints section of the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival. His first feature documentary, The Man Behind the Curtain, premiered at the Globians Doc Fest in Berlin. He’s served as Associate Producer/Editor on several projects for Blowback Productions and Brick City TV, including Brick City, the Peabody Award-winning 11-part Sundance Channel documentary series and HBO’s Prayer for a Perfect Season. Last summer he co-directed BKLYN FLEX, an original Youtube series for Ashton Kutcher’s Thrash Lab, as well as documented Angolan street dancers in Luanda and on a European tour.

Christopher Walker has worked as an editor and producer on several award-winning documentary feature and short films including TRIANGLE: REMEMBERING THE FIRE, which aired on HBO in 2011 and won the Columbia DuPont Award for Excellence in Journalism. HARD TIMES: LOST ON LONG ISLAND (2012) won The Audience Award for Best Documentary at the 2011 Hampton’s International Film Festival and later aired on HBO to critical acclaim, including a 2013 Emmy nomination for “Outstanding Business and Economic Reporting”.
